You can track the status of items you are buying and selling (if you have a seller's account) and update the status under the Take action menu in My eBay.
If you are a buyer, you can mark an item as paid.
If you are a seller, you can mark an item as posted.
If you paid for an item and My eBay is still showing it needs to be paid, you can manually mark the item as paid for your own records. Marking your item as paid does not notify the seller. Regardless of what the status shows in My eBay, as long as your seller acknowledges receiving payment, your part of the transaction is complete.
Go to My eBay » click Won (from the left navigation menu)
In the Won section find the item you want to mark as paid.
From the Take action drop-down menu, select Mark as Payment Sent. The icon turns blue, showing that payment is complete.
Note: If you pay for your item using PayPal, or the seller marks the item as Payment Received on their My eBay page, the payment status in My eBay will automatically update to Payment Sent. However, if you paid using another payment method, and you manually mark the item as Payment Sent, the seller is not automatically notified.
After you post an item to a buyer, you can mark the item as posted for your records. Marking your item as posted does not notify the buyer.
Go to My eBay » click Sold (from the left navigation menu)
In the Sold section, find the item you want to mark as posted.
From the Take action drop-down menu, select Mark as Posted. The turns gold, showing that you've posted the item.
Note: You can also send an invoice and relist an item from the Take action menu.
