A PayPal purchase can appear as Pending in My eBay or Selling Manager for various reasons, including:

1. The buyer paid with an electronic cheque (or eCheque) and the system will display Pending until the cheque clears - usually in about three to five business days.

2. The seller needs to log in to PayPal to accept the payment.

Once the payment is completed, the status in My eBay or Selling Manager is changed to a Paid status. If the payment fails, the status changes to show that the transaction is unpaid, and the buyer can send another payment.
