Why does eBay have this policy?
eBay does not verify the authenticity or trustworthiness of third party verification services. Therefore, third party endorsements of eBay members can create an unsafe marketplace. Manipulations of eBay’s reputation system (feedback system, PowerSeller programme, etc.) may confuse or mislead buyers, which also can create an unsafe marketplace.
