Specifying Flat Postage Costs

How it works

You can choose to specify a single, fixed cost that can reasonably cover the locations you're willing to post to.

Be sure to specify this in your item description.

Example

Suppose you determine that it costs $3.50 to send an item to Malaysia and $9.00 to send the item to Hong Kong. You could charge a flat cost of $9.00 to cover the most expensive case, or you could charge a lower amount that would cover most locations in order to attract more buyers.

What you need to provide

  • Specify the postage services that you offer, including domestic and international services.

  • Enter a cost for each postage service.

Tips for determining the cost

  • Refer to a postage calculator eg: SingPost.

  • Search on eBay for items like yours and see what other sellers are charging to send the item. Use the "Completed listings" option to see what sellers charged for items that sold.
