Information about the prizes and how to enter forms part of these Terms and
Conditions for the eBay Singapore “Skype 500,000 Giveaways” Contest (Promotion).
Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entries not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions are ineligible.
Entry is open to all residents of Singapore over the age of 18 years. Employees of the
Promoter, its associated companies, suppliers, distributors, agents and their
immediate family members, and persons whose account with eBay have been
temporarily or indefinitely suspended or made inactive by the Promoter (as defined in
clause 30) during the Promotion Period (as defined in clause 8), are not eligible to
enter the Promotion.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all their contact details registered with or
submitted to the Promoter are correct. Entrants will forfeit their right to claim the Prize
(as defined in clause 14) in the event that their contact details are inaccurate or wrong.
Members of eBay may check or update their contact information with eBay by visiting
the Personal Information section of My eBay at http://www.ebay.com.sg.
To qualify for entry into this Promotion, you must at the time of entry be validly
registered as a member of http://www.ebay.com.sg (in accordance with all applicable
terms and conditions, policies and your User Agreement with eBay).

To enter this Promotion, prior to the end of the Promotion Period you must:

a)	buy an item on http://www.ebay.com.sg; or
b)	sell an item on http://www.ebay.com.sg; and

your eBay account must be in good standing and not be suspended for the duration of the Promotion Period.

Your sales and purchases will be automatically entered into the pool of entries. You may sell or buy as many items as you want.

All eBay members must conform to eBay’s policies and user agreements applicable during the Promotion Period.

This Promotion commences at 0:00:01 Singapore Time, i.e. GMT + 8 hours (SGT) on 23 May 2008 and closes on 23:59:59 SGT on 20 July 2008 (Promotion Period).

All entries submitted for this Promotion must be received by the Promoter by the end of the Promotion Period.

There will be 2 categories of Winners under this Promotion: (a) the Winner under the “Top Buyer” category, and (b) the Winner under the “Top Seller” category. In addition, each eligible participant of this Promotion shall be entitled to receive a SkypeOut credit voucher as part of the giveaway.

11.

There will be 1 Winner under the “Top Buyer” category, namely the user whose total overall spend on items purchased on http://www.ebay.com.sg during the Promotion Period is the highest among all the users.

12.

There will be 1 Winner under the “Top Seller” category, namely the user whose total value of items sold on http://www.ebay.com.sg during the Promotion Period is the highest among all the users.

13.

Every eligible participant in this Promotion will be automatically entitled to receive a SkypeOut credit under the giveaway portion of this Promotion, while stocks last. There are 500,000 SkypeOut credit vouchers to be given away. Each user account that has registered a successful purchase or sale of an item during this Promotion will only be entitled to receive one (1) SkypeOut credit voucher, regardless of the number of items bought or sold under that user account.

The prizes that will be awarded to the Winners (Prizes) are as follows:

a)	For the Winner of the “Top Buyer” category, one (1) Philips VoIP Skype cordless phone set worth SG$299; and
b)	For the Winner of the “Top Seller” category, one (1) Philips VoIP Skype cordless phone set worth SG$299.

15.

The recipient of the SkypeOut credit voucher giveaway will be entitled to receive one (1) SkypeOut credit voucher worth 10 minutes of Skype talk time.

16.

The Promoter retains the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any approvals necessary.

17.

No costs or expenses, other than those expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions will be included in the Prize and all costs and expenses other than those expressly included within the Prize in these Terms and Conditions are the responsibility of the Winner.

18.

The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable.

19.

The Promoter will notify the Winners within 14 days of the end of the Promotion Period through the telephone number listed in their eBay registration details (by possible) or by email.

20.

Upon making successful contact with the Winner, the Winner must accept the Prize within the requested time and the Promoter will courier the Prize to the Winner’s address as registered under their eBay registration details or such address as otherwise notified by the Winner.

21.

If the Promoter is unable to successfully contact the Winner or the Winner does not accept the Prize within the time frame stipulated in clause 19 after a further 3 days of trying to contact that Winner, then that Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and the Prize will be awarded to the next eligible participant in line, and that user will be deemed to be the new Winner. The Promoter will attempt to make contact the new Winner in a similar fashion, and will carry on this process until either a Winner can be successfully contacted and declared.

22.

Within 3 days of successfully contacting the Winner, the Winner’s first initial, surname and truncated form of username (e.g. a**b) will also be published on the announcement board of http://www.ebay.com.sg.

23.

With regard to the SkypeOut credit voucher, each eligible recipient will receive via their email address as registered with eBay, an electronic voucher containing a unique code that may be used to redeem for the SkypeOut credits on the Skype platform and/or application.

24.

All personal information will be held and dealt with in accordance with the Privacy Policy of the Promoter which is available on the eBay website (https://pages.ebay.com.sg/help/policies/privacy-policy.html).

25.

In order to redeem and use the SkypeOut credit voucher, the recipient must sign up for a Skype account. Please visit https://www.skype.com/allfeatures/callphones/ to learn more about SkypeOut and for further information accessible from that page about becoming a Skype user and the terms and conditions that will apply in that regard.

26.

The Promoter’s decisions with regard to the selection of the Winners are final, and no correspondence will be entered into, including in the event of a dispute.

27.

The Promoter is not liable for any injury, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained as a result of or in connection with participating in this Promotion or receiving, taking or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Any tax liability arising as a result of receiving, taking or using the Prize is the responsibility of the Winner.

28.

Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter's database. The Promoter is not responsible for entries not received or the receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, telephone or computer network, lines, servers, telephone or internet providers, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's handset or computer related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this Promotion.

29.

If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify the terms of the Promotion including the Prize and these Terms and Conditions, subject to approval from any relevant regulatory authorities.

30.
