Key Rules and Policies
These key policies are highlighted for your reference only. A complete list of up-to-date rules and policies are available from the Key Rules and Policies section on eBay.com.

Linking to Pages Containing the Terms and Conditions of Your Listing

Sellers may provide one link to further describe the terms and conditions in the listing. This page may not include any links to Web pages outside–of-eBay. Remember that the relevant portions of the terms and conditions must be included on the listing page as well as on the separate Terms and Conditions page. This relevant information includes:

  • Shipping information (a seller may also link to a shipping calculator)

  • Forms of payment accepted

  • Terms of payment—when payment is expected

  • Handling charges

  • Any taxes that may apply

Note: Terms and conditions found on the listing page may not contradict those found on the linked page.

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

  • Listing cancellation

  • Limits on account privileges

  • Account suspension

  • Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings

  • Loss of PowerSeller status

Additional Information

“Click here to see more details on my Terms and Conditions” is permitted if relevant portions of the terms and conditions are also included on the listing page and the terms and conditions are the same.

Sellers may use a logo for any of the above links. However, the logo may not measure more than 88 x 33 pixels and may not flash or otherwise move.

Exception: You may link to your eBay or Half.com listings.

Why does eBay have this policy?

This policy allows sellers to provide potential buyers with more detailed information about their terms and conditions while ensuring the buyer is not encouraged to complete the transaction outside-of-eBay. Transacting outside of eBay circumvents eBay fees and may be unsafe.
