Get Verified with PayPal and Link your eBay and PayPal Accounts

Sellers and buyers rank security as a primary concern when doing business online, which is why eBay is committed to your security. In an effort to continue to improve the overall Trust & Safety for both buyers and sellers in the marketplace, we recently introduced some changes to our listing policies required for selling items internationally.

International Selling Requirements:
Sellers wishing to list items internationally (outside of their registered country) will be required to meet the following two criteria:

+ Have a verified PayPal account
+ Link your eBay account to your verified PayPal account

Verification means members have successfully completed an authentication process to confirm their identity. In Singapore, members verify themselves by confirming with a credit card.

Becoming a verified PayPal member is important as it increases the security of the eBay and PayPal networks. Below is a summary to help you get started:

Sign up for a PayPal account or login to your existing account.

Verify your PayPal account in 3 easy steps:

Start verification by authorising a small, refundable charge to your credit card to generate a 4-digit PayPal code.
Retrieve the 4-digit PayPal code from your credit card statement
Enter the 4-digit PayPal code in your PayPal account

Make sure your verified PayPal has been linked to your eBay account.

To link your accounts, login to your eBay account:

Go to ‘My eBay’1
Click ‘Addresses’ under ‘My Account’ to link your accounts or view if they are already linked
